Message from the Chairman of BPBDM 2016/17

“Transition from year 2016 to 2017, it was filled with many challenges and “surprises” while executing the JMB activities. Nevertheless, we managed to survive through this term which had bear some fruitfull results, mainly on the Energy saving projects(LED & timers), coupled with several enhancement projects which were the Gym improvements, Astro & MATV upgrades, Common areas & properties upbringing. Our financial has been in healthy state, which to be explained in the Financial audit report 2016/17.

Security has always been our highlights during the meetings as all the JMB members had emphasized the importance of it, for being the first “image” when entering into the premise. We have never deviate from our aim and objective ; to build Horizon Residence Apartment(aka Dwi Mutiara Apartment) to be a safer place to stay-in with harmonious community living. Our rule of thumb is to never compromise Security for the sake of Conveniency, which might upset and deter some of the residents. Therefore, we would like to take this opportunity to apologize for the incovenience caused.

With the support of our managing agent(Simplicity) staff, daily activities had been managed profesionally and with no major escalations. As for the rest of the service providers, the level of standard should be at Satisfactory. Hence, we would like to express appreciation and gratitude to all our contracted service providers for their continuous support and commitment.

Due to the lack of support from HR residents, we have decided to leave the fate of the Fire Safety Team to our next JMB members to review.

Lastly, the JMB team 2016/17 will not seek for re-election as we foresee that we may hit a plateau stage for term 2017/18. Down the road, we hope the next JMB team shall continue the legacy set by the past chairwoman/chairman and to go a mile further for Horizon Residence.

  1. My appreciation and thanks goes out the the 2nd term Joint Management Committee for their endeavor. Those who have served will appreciate that it is an unthankful job coupled with heavy responsibility and time commitment. I can only encourage active participation by owners at the 3rd AGM, ensuring they are eligible to vote through payment of their Maintenance fee, Sinking Fund, Insurance Charges & Quit Rent & Late Payment Interest up to October 2017 at least seven (7) days before the meeting.
